Welcome! I am so happy you are here. My name is Madison Anderson and I am a special education and reading intervention teacher with over five years experience in the classroom. I have active teaching credentials in both California and Indiana. My background as an educator is in special education and reading intervention. I am passionate about the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham (the gold standard of reading instruction).

I believe that all children can learn in their own, unique way. I take the time to get to know each student and their strengths and weaknesses to individualize my instruction. I strongly believe assessment drives instruction and use this philosophy in my tutoring.

Before we jump into our lessons, I assess each student to determine their needs and create a program based on these deficits. I utilize the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach to teaching reading and am officially certified in this method through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). I have extensive experience working with students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia. I thoroughly researched the OG method for my thesis and obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in May 2023. I provide online lessons through Zoom to anyone in the US, or in-person lessons at my home in Fort Wayne, IN. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
